Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!
I'm not so great at CAS cards. All that white empty space is just beckoning for another stamp, pretty paper, or some sort of embellishment :-) But I got inspired by my friend Darlene, and decided to have a go at a CAS Halloween card. Well, this is what I came up with.
I began by masking a square piece of cardstock leaving a 2" column blank. On this blank column, I created a 1.5" circle mask for the moon. Then I ink blended the sky using a few Distress Oxide inks. Once this was done, I used a Tim Holtz mask to add a little shading to the moon. When all the inking was nice and dry, I stamped Lucinda flying across the sky. I allowed that to dry for a few minutes and then stamped the greeting using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it after applying black embossing powder.
On the inside I inked blended another sky column and added a few bats. This leaves me plenty of space to write my message. You see I have no problem with white space on the inside of the cards, it's the front I have a problem with 😀
I think I like it, but I'm still getting used to it ... all that white space ...
Anyway, here is the list of supplies I used, each one linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.
Fairy Hugs Stamps - Lucinda, Flying Bats, Halloween Hello
Distress Oxide Inks - Chipped Saphire, Villainous Potion, Black Soot
