KS - Celebrating 102 Years of Life!

Happy Saturday everyone! I have a masculine birthday card, to share with you today, that I made for my hubby's uncle who will be celebrating his 102nd birthday next week.  How cool is that?

I used the Slimline Mountain Scapes and the Stitched Puffy Clouds from Kat Scrappiness to make the background. The stitching detail on these dies add so much dimension to your card.  On the foreground, I used the Rails and Locomotive from Marianne Design.  The tiny birthday greeting is from Cardz TV's Mini Messages.

On the inside I made a frame using the Slimline Tree Forest die from Kat Scrappiness and then just the trees layer of the Slimline Mountain Scapes die set, also from Kat Scrappiness. By using the frame, it gives hubby plenty of space to write his personal message.

Here is a close up of the train, which is lovely, but can you see the beautiful stitched accents on the trees, snow caps and puffy clouds? It really does add a lot of dimension and interest to your card.
I used the die as a stencil and rubbed a little Tim Holts's Picket Fence ink to highlight the embossed areas on the train, and a little Stormy Sky ink on the steamy cloud around the greeting.  I hope he likes this card as much as I enjoyed making it.
