Stitched Christmas Card No. 1

Hello friends.  I have been steadily working my way through a couple of stitching craft books and kits "Santa" has given me in the last few years.  If you're a follower of my blog, then you know by now that I find stitching on cards very relaxing and a great way to pass the time when sitting somewhere waiting for something, like waiting for a service to be done on the car, or picking up hubby from work, or at a doctor's office. I wish I had had these when I spent hours and hours waiting in line to pick up the kids from school!  On the other hand, I did a lot more reading then :-)

So here is my first card ...

The image is made up of four layers, each fussy cut by yours truly, and pop dotted for beautiful dimension :-)  I must admit that I don't enjoy fussy cutting much.  So all my newer kits use decoupage images that are in the form of press out images.  You just press out each layer, adhere them with foam dots and done! No sore thumbs from all the fussy cutting :-)

On the inside I used a stamp from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions and a little dollar bin holly stamp to adorn the corners.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come stop by again soon.

Crafty hugs,
