Hello crafting friends, and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday share.
Did you catch the Christmas release of Fairy Hugs stamps?
They are gorgeous and such a wonderful variety of designs that will have you done with your Christmas cards way ahead of time :-)
Using a few of the new stamps, I made this card with a new die I recently purchased.
First a inked the snowbanks and the sky on the background.
Next I stamped the tree and Lara, the fairy who is decorating it. I stamped her in a sandy colour so that I could go over with red copic marker and give her some festive clothes to match her festive wings 😃
Then I realised that it needed a little something else in the background, so I masked her wings and stamped a pine tree as well as a couple of clouds. Since Lara is not a very tall fairy, and she did want to reach the upper branch, I thought it would be handy for her to use a pinecone as her "step stool". I added a little bit of white Puffy Paint to the trimming of her dress and her hat.
Once my scene was complete I matted it onto gold mirror cardstock, and adhered to an fun new die I recently purchased. When looking back at the card, I felt that the ornaments were lacking a bit of sparkle, so I grabbed my metallic markers and went over them. Not only do they look all shiny, but now they have a bit of dimension too.
You can move the die and place it over a folded piece of cardstock so that you have a normal card, but for this card I decided to go with a postcard style. So on the back, I created a layer where I will write my personal message. Again I used stamps from the new release.
