Hello everyone and welcome back.
I needed a quick card for a friend's birthday and this is what I came up with. It's been a while since I played with my Lavinia stamps. I quite like the way it came out 😊
I used watercolour paper and masked off the front of the card, except for about an an inch and half. Using 3 of my favourite distress inks, I applied them at random on the strip of card. Next I misted a stencil and gently layed it down on top. After a few seconds, I lifted it, again, very gently, and ta da ... the stencil effect came through by lifting the ink. I used my heat tool to dry it completely before stamping my favourite Lavinia fairy, Aurora. I used Faber Castell's polychromo pencils to colour in the blossoms, both on the front of the card and the Star Blossoms on the inside of the card. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment, added Fairy Hugs glitter, Wink of Stella pen and a few tiny silver stars.
Here is a list of the supplies I used:
Lavinia Stamps - Aurora
Lavinia Stamps - Star Blossom
Lavinia Stamps - Fairy Foragers
Lavinia Stamps - Fairy Happy Birthday
Lavinia Stencils - Laurel
Distress Oxide Inks - Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Shaded Lilac
Fairy Hugs Glitter - Raven
Thank you all so much for stopping by and for spending some of your time with me.
