Fairy Stamper ~ Sneak Peek - May Release

Hello crafting friends.  I have exciting news to share with you today. 
Fairy Hugs has a new release coming out on Monday, 2 May 2021,  and if you're like me, who loves everything and anything nautical, then this new release is for you 😀 

Let me introduce you to Malila, one of the beautiful mermaids.

I started with a piece of 6" x 4.5" white cardstock and inked in the ocean floor.  Next I stamped Malila, using VersaFine Twilight ink, and created a mask for her.  After placing the mask over her I stamped the Jester Mushroom in such a way as to give the look that she is sitting on the mushroom.  I used Memento Toffee Crunch and Memento Potter's Clay to stamp the mushroom.  I also created a mask for the Jester Mushroom and applied it on top.  Once both masks were in place, I used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and inked the background of the ocean.  Then I grabbed a wave stencil and went over the ocean blue with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers, thus creating the "waves" in the background. Then it was just a matter of stamping the seaweed, the fish, the vines and the Birthday Day wish.

Once all the stamping was done and the masks were removed, I added Translucent Orchid Fairy Hugs Glitter to Malila's tail, bikini top and flowers. I also used Sakura Glaze pens to add a few "berries" here and there on the vines and at the ends of the mushroom.  As a last finishing touch, I added a few pearls to Malila.  

On the inside, I used the same method as described above to continue with the ocean theme, leaving the middle a little lighter so I can write my personal message.
