Dies R Us #164 ~ With Sympathy

Hello everyone, and welcome to our newest challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge #164 ~ Anything Goes!

Every now and then we need one of these cards. Definitely not my favourite to make but I hope it will let this family know that we are thinking about them as they mourn the passing of his mom.  I got the opportunity to meet this lovely lady, when she was visiting from Portugal,  and we always remembered her fondly as I use a recipe she shared with me - Chocolate Mousse.  We'll definitely hold on to these fond memories.

I used all the dies that come in the Lavender Square set and cut them all out of the purple cardstock. I cut the lavender shrub out of green cardstock as well so that I could paper piece it with the two different colours. Before arranging all the dies on my card, I embossed the background with a Swiss dot embossing folder, but only about half an inch on all four sides.  I stamped the lavender on the inner square using Purple Delight ink from VersaFine Clair.  The sentiment was computer generated.  That was it.  Nothing complicated or fancy about this card, but I hope it is elegant and somber enough for the occasion.

Here is the short list of supplies I used to make this card, all linked to the Dies R Us store for your convenience.

Did you all catch the latest European dies sales, Dies R Us had recently? I did and as always, I got a few new goodies to play with. It was through one of these sales that I got this lovely Lavender Square die from Marianne Designs.  The best way to know about these International dies sales is to subscribe to the newsletter. You will find the subscription box on the home page at Dies R Us.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you to create a project, and  play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenges for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of each month. Visit our challenge blog, where my team mates showcase their creations to give you a little more inspiration.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest too.

Before I go, I'd like to remind you that Dies R Us' sister store,  Didi Crafts, is now open. It has warehouses located in the USA and Canada.  It has some products that are the same as Dies R Us, but in addition, it carries international dies,  and other crafty supplies for a variety of crafts.  Go take a peek and be pleasantly surprised!

Also, just a quick reminder that Dies R Us are having a DT call for our Inspiration team.
