Hello crafting friends. I hope you are all keeping well. I have a card to share with you today that I made as my Friday share for Fairy Stamper.
I love snowmen and I love cardinals, so you can imagine that this card is just up my alley. We always had two pairs of cardinals that used to come into our yard, all year round, but since about October last year, we've had a pair of Blue Jays, and they've scared the Cardinals away. Not that I don't like the Blue Jays, they are beautiful birds, but they're also bullies, and they've scared away all the other little birds that used to come visit too. Okay, all venting done, so onto my card for today.
I started making this card by using a metal stencil from Poppy Stamps, designed by Lavinia stamps. Just like the Phoenix, this stencil works beautifully. There is definitely something nice about working with metal stencils. Next I stamped the snowman and the cardinal, coloured them using copic markers, and fussy cut them both. For the finishing touches, I used a few mini stamps from Lavinia Stamps.

OMG this is just adorable and your snowman looks just like your little snowman statue ... how cute is that! I'll have to check out these 'metal stencils' ... you are such an enabler! LOL OH and I LOVE your blog set up ... so adorable for Valentine's Day. Did you do this yourself? I didn't see a company name (like I go for the free backgrounds lol). I know Aussie Annie created all of her own headers and backgrounds ... I don't know how to do that ... will have to get someone to teach me. Anyways ... your blog always looks FABULOUS!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Lena, a suoer cute snowman and beautiful red cardinals. I guess these are the equivalent to our christmas robins. Nature is cruel for sure, the cuckoo is the meanest of birds over here, tossing out other birds eggs and laying their own in the nest!! xx
