Fairy Ornament

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #5 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

I saw a few of these Pinterest and decided to try my hand at it and I must say that, after a few tries,  I'm pleased with the way it came out.

Using an ornament bought at Hobby Lobby and a few Lavinia stamps, I made this ornament.
Isn't it pretty?  I plan on making a few more in different colours, using the other Fairy Foragers.
I wanted to emphasize Christmas a little bit more than it being just an ornament so I decided to make the Star in gold. It looks even better in real life.  The gold stands out beautifully against the blue background.
I did have the darnest time photographing this ornament though.  Because it's a glass bauble, it reflects everything in every direction :-)

Here is another try.  This pic was taken with different lights and although I think it looks better,  you can't see that the Star is gold.  Anyway, I think that between the two pics you get an idea of how I used my Lavinia stamps to put this ornament together.

Here is the list of Lavinia stamps I used to create this card.
Each is linked to the Lavinia World store for your convenience.

Well, crafting friends, that is it from me for today. Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Our theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use stamps, either rubber or clear, but NO DIGI stamps allowed.
We prefer that your submissions use Lavinia stamps, but it's not a requirement.  However, if you do use Lavinia stamps in your project, your chances of winning are doubled.

The winner of the challenge will be able to proudly display our Lavinia World winner's badge on their blog, and receive a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World store.  Lavinia World offers the complete range of Lavinia stamps and papers.  Although Lavinia Stamps is from the UK, Lavinia World is a US based store that ships worldwide.

Please visit our Challenge Blog for more inspiration from my teamies.  Also, we'd love for you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Till next time,
crafty hugs,

  2. Hi, Lena! You constantly amaze me with your fabulous projects! I love how you incorporate stamping into the other pretty crafty "stuff". The colors are remarkable, and I can only imagine how incredibly sparkly this will be on the tree with the lights reflecting off it! The gold star is a wonderful touch to remind us that Magic isn't always fantasy, but something that touches our souls deeply. It's lovely. I especially like the way you used the Whimsical Wisps around the edge. Wishing you a fantastic day! hugs, de

  4. I love the way you think outside the box, Lena. I'm with Darlene. I'd really love to know how you did this. Did you stamp directly on the ornament? With Stazon? How did you do it without the ink smearing? This is fantastic, and has me in awe!
