Aurora

Hello crafting friends. Welcome to challenge #2 at Lavinia World Stamps.

For my DT project today, I used the beautiful fairy called Aurora.  I thought that making an Aurora Borealis background would be perfect to showcase this beauty.  So here is my first try at the Northern Lights 😃

Aurora is one of my favourite fairies.  Although you can't see from the pic, and believe me I tried different angles, I sprinkled her wings with Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds.  Beautiful, delicate and magical!

Here is the list of Lavinia stamps I used to create this card.
Each is linked to the Lavinia World store for your convenience.

I used the same stamps to continue the theme onto the inside of my card.
I used a combination of Memento and Ranger Distress inks to make the Northern Lights and to sponge the night sky around them.   I used a white pencil to colour the Star Blossoms and then went over them with a clear Wink of Stella pen to add a little sparkle. This card measures 6.5" x 5" and fits perfectly in an A7 envelope, without requiring any additional postage.

Well, crafting friends, that is it from me for today. Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Our theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use stamps, either rubber or clear, but no digi stamps allowed.
We prefer that your submissions use Lavinia stamps, but it's not a requirement.  However, if you do use Lavinia stamps in your project, your chances of winning are doubled.

The winner of the challenge will be able to proudly display our Lavinia World winner's badge on their blog, and receive a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World store.  Lavinia World offers the complete range of Lavinia stamps and papers.  Although Lavinia Stamps is from the UK, Lavinia World is a US based store that ships worldwide.

Please visit our Challenge Blog for more inspiration from my teamies.  Also, we'd love for you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Till next time,
crafty hugs,

  8. Hi, Lena! Your first attempt at Northern Lights? I have not tried that technique yet and yours is a rousing success! I need to try it also. Loving your color choices and the Aurora Fairy - she fits so many scenarios, but I think your Northern Lights is the best scene possible for her! Beautifully done, and the inside is a dream! I will be casing your idea for the interior. Thanks for today's inspiration! hugs, de
