April Challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

Hello and welcome to April's challenge at
 hosted by the Gingerbread Gals.

April Challenge ~ Family / Friends
Prize ~  please visit the CCAYR blog

My friend, Darlene, from Dutch Paper Crafts, always has something special for sale on her website.  While going thru all the crafty goodness she has to offer, I came upon this little book called "The Square Little Book of Festive Deco Shimmer", by Hunkydory, and I just knew I had to have it.  Now I don't normally buy things site unseen.  I always research, investigate and look a loads of pictures before I buy something I don't know anything about, but this book just called to me and I'm so glad that I got it :-)

So with this month's challenge in mind, I made this card. I can imagine myself and friends in this grand setting enjoying a very glamorous Christmas party.  Can't you? :-)

This little book has 125 shimmering sheets of 25 different Art Deco Christmas scenes. Each one is more beautiful than the other!  It's truly good value for money!  In case you're interested, here are the links to Darlene's websites - Dutch Paper Craftswhich offers pre-orders on new releases of stamps and dies, and Dutch Paper Crafts3, which offers special items, like this little book and other items that are in stock and ready to ship.

Now onto the crafty ingredients I used to put this card together:
Card size - 5.25" x 5.25"
Red card stock - GinaK
Gold card stock - Recollections
Frame - Baubles Frame - Amy Design
Poinsettias - Holly Frame - Spellbinders
Image - Festive Deco Shimmer Book - Hunkydory
Gems - Recollections
Inside frame - Holy Wreath - Amy Design
Greeting stamp - Cardz TV - Bigger Holiday Sayings

Now it's your turn to join in the fun.
You have till the end of the month to link your project to our challenge.
Looking forward to seeing your festive creations.

Till next time, happy crafting!
