Masculine Birthday

Hello crafting friends. Before I share my card with you, I would like to wish all my American friends a very  Happy Thanksgiving! May your day be blessed with love, family and friends.

With that done, I would like to share the card I made for hubby's uncle who just turned 99 years young :-)

I've had this decoupage sheet for a number of years now and had never used it. I sometimes look around my craft room and think it's time to de-stash because there are things that I haven't used in a long time.  As soon as I start though, I keep thinking that I will use those items one day, and there goes the whole de-stashing idea :-) Well, you see, sometimes it works because I thought that this image, with it's different layers, was just perfect for this birthday card :-)  The stitching pattern is one that I got in a kit a while back too :-)  See you have to keep your goodies from way back when because you just never know when you're going to use it :-)
It's funny though, I only feel like this about my crafting toys.  Everywhere else in my home, things get donated or trashed. I love a clutter free home :-)

I kept the inside of the card on the simple side so hubby could write his message.

That is it from me for today.
Crafty hugs & blessings

  4. 99 years old, wow. I’m not sure I’d know what to make for a man at this age, but I love what you made here. Both classy and fun.

  5. Beautiful stitching on this one too, Lena! I don't know how you do it, but it's stunning and such a nice detail! 99 years young is wonderful - things have certainly changed since he was a boy - I love hearing about the old days.
