Sympathy Card

Good morning crafting friends. I have a card to share with you today that  I made for a college of my husband, whose grandson passed away last week.

I started by cutting out an oval window on this card using the Silhouette. Next I cut an oval out of acetate and two oval frames. One for the front of the card and the other to secure the oval of acetate to the back so that there would be no glue marks visible when the card is opened.
For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of card stock just an 1/8" smaller than the card base.  I sponge the background, printed the sentiment and stamped the water scene. Next I cut out the cattails for the front of the card and coloured them and the image with copic markers.
Here are a few other goodies I used to complete this card.
Stamp set - Marianne Designs - Cattails
Cattails die - Marianne Designs
Stamped sentiment - Mini Messages - Cardz TV Stamps
Mats for sentiment - SU! oval punches
Memento Summer Sky ink to sponge in the background

As much as I don't like making sympathy cards, for obvious reasons, I'm very happy with how this card turned out. What do you all think, crafting friends?

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope you all have a blessed weekend.
Hugs,
