Mermaid Birthday

Hello everyone. So glad you stopped by today.
I made a mermaid birthday card for my daughter this year.. We always said that she must have been a mermaid in her previous life because from the moment she was born, she loved water.  She was the quite baby in the bath in the hospital nursery, but take her out of her bath and everyone knew about how upset she was.  Yep, baby girl had a good set of lungs on her :-)
Well, that baby girl is 28 years old now but still loves the sea, so when I saw this mermaid decoupage sheet, I just knew I had to use it on a card for her.  Add a beach themed stitched border, and voila, the perfect birthday card! :-)

It's a diamond easel card which measures 5.5" by 5.5".
Card stock - GinaK.
Linen card stock - Dutch company
Stitched pattern - Stitching Cards - Pattern #0608N0748857689
Scallop die - Mariane Designs
Birthday stamp - Cardz TV Stamps - Let's Party
Pearls - Studio G.
Memento Summer Sky & Teal Zeal inks used for shading.
Little bubbles stamp - Lawn Fawn - Fintastic Friends

My daughter loved her card, so mission accomplished :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

  1. Oh, this is gorgeous! The stitched seashell frame is perfect for the mermaid. I also love the fold you chose for it, and the pearl sitting inside the seashell is a brilliant touch.
