Hello everyone. Today, I'm on the DiesRUs Inspiration blog sharing a card that I made for my husband's uncle who is turning 98!
This card measures 5.25" x 5.25". To begin, I cut a piece of red cardstock 5.25" x 10.5" and scored it and folded it in half. Next I cut the patterned paper 5" x 10" and also scored and folded it in half.
I'm not too sure where I got this vintage car cut from, but I can tell you that I've had it for a while and thought it now the perfect time to use it on Oom Hans' card. To go with this image I used the Vintage Vehicle Frame die from Amy Design.
Since this card is to be mailed overseas, I didn't want to make it too bulky, so I used the Twisted Circle Pop Up die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, designed by Karen Burniston. I think that this adds a special surprise without adding the bulk. I have a youtube video link to share with you, where Karen Burniston teaches you how to put this type of card together using her dies.
I cut out two of the Antique Car Border die from Amy Design, and added one to each side.
Since I still had a lot of white space left, I thought that the Gears and Mini Gears from Memory Box would add a nice touch.
I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project, and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for your chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store. A new challenge begins on the first and fifteenth of every month. Be sure to Follow Us on Facebook too.
Till next time,
Happy Crafting!
