Retirement Card

Happy Friday y'all! I hope it's the start to a great weekend :-)
As promised, I'm back today with a card I made for my doctor.  I can't tell you how sad and anxious I am that my doctor has retired, and how happy I am for him.  It really is mixed emotions. Sad and anxious at the thought of having to find another doctor and so happy for him because his retirement is so well deserved. I'm going to miss him terribly.  He was the most kind, wise and caring doctor I  met since moving to the US.

So here is the card I made for Dr. Sack.  The card base is 6.5" x 5" from Recollections. The Calypso Blue cardstock is from Bazzill.  I sponged the sea and the sky using Memento inks. Cut the sand using a pair of deckled scissors and sponged it with Distress Inks. The palm trees are multi layering stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps - they were stamped with Altnew crisp dye inks.  The beach chairs, flip flops and beach grass are dies from Impression Obsession. Clouds and seagulls are dies from Cottage Cutz. The little seashells are from my stash and were handpicked at one of the many beaches we have visited through the years :-) I left the inside blank so that I would have plenty of room to write my personal message.

I like the way this card came out and Dr. Sack liked it too, so win-win :-)
I hope you enjoyed your visit today and bear with me while I make my way to visit your blogs and leave you some bloggie love!

Have a very blessed weekend.
Hugs,

  1. I am sure Dr. Sack loved it.
It is a lot of work but worth the time you spend on it.
