I used Quarter Note Cricut Cartridge to cut the note and the Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallions to cut the white mat.
I printed the sentiment and then cut it using the nested medallions dies. I used one to make a pocket to insert the gift card. The different cardstocks and DP are all from my stash. The music note paper is from The Paper Studio company, but also came from my stash. I've really been trying to use up those scraps. They seem to multiply in my scraps drawer :)
Some of you have asked about my card bases ... I normally buy the Recollections packs from Michaels. They come with 50 cards and 50 matching envelopes for about $10. They have a 50% sale on these at least a couple of times a year and that is when I stock up :) I use mostly white, but I also have the ivory. The card size is 6.5" x 5" which for me is a perfect size. I find the A2 is a bit limiting, especially when I use images cut with my cricut. The smaller the images the more problems you have with intricate cuts. The larger cards normally add extra postage as the majority of my cards get mailed overseas. So, you see these work for me perfectly. There are times when I make my own card base if I want a different colour, a different fold type, different shape or just a different size to accommodate the images and embellishments I intend using. I hope this has helped you figure out what works for you.
Thank you for visiting today and spending a little time with me. I love hearing from you, so do leave me some bloggie love.
Hugs,
Lena

What a nice card to give to your son's tutor. The paper you've used is so fun with the notes. The musical note looks great on the Spellbinder's die. Great job!

Fabulous Lena, I like the Note, the matching paper and the inside pocket.
