My son excelled at school this year - it was hard going and work loaded but he managed it with great determination. It's hard for me to think that this time next year I will be planning a high school graduation party! My mind is already going over the endless possibilities where my crafting skills will come in handy :)
For this year though, I made him this card and we are getting him a lil gift to go with it. We want to show him that we appreciate all his hard work and effort. Of course, getting great grades was his reward for his hard work, but we want him to know that mom and dad appreciate it and are extremely proud of him.
This card was inspired by Enfys from Going Buggy. I liked the way her birthday card turned out and decided that this would be perfect for my son.
Maroon, black and white are our school colours. Looking back, though, I think I should have swapped the maroon and the black. It would have been a more colourful card. The stars are embossed using a Cuttlebug folder called Christmas Stars. Just for fun, I put the large star on an action wobble :)
I kept the inside pretty simple. Just used the same colour cardstocks and added a few more stars for good measure :)
Thanks for visiting.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Lena

You made a very nice card for a boy that deserves it.
