Hello crafty friends,
This is a card I made for my hubby ~ we'll be celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary on Black Friday, can you believe it? I much preferred it when we celebrated our anniversary on Thanksgiving Day a few years ago :)
I used the Gina K. stamp set called Because of You. I just fell in love with this image the very first time I saw it. The card stock and DP are all from my stash and so are the gems and the ribbon. I really have been trying to use up all my scraps, but it seems that I have a never ending thing going there, because I don't see the slightest dent in those drawers :) The little whispy flourishes were cut using a Marianne creatable and then "stickled" (is there such a word - we crafters could begin our own dictionay lol). The greeting was computer generated and punched out with SU! punches.
And here is the inside - this sentiment is part of the Because of You Stamp Duo set. Isn't is simple but so meaningful? I love it. The heart is made up of little hearts and is from a Fairy stamp set I've had for a while. I have no idea who it is by, but I can tell you that it travelled all the way across the big pond :)
There is something about the inside, the way the papers are layered perhaps, that I'm not totally happy with. As soon as I figure it out, I will probably pull them apart and fix it. There's just something there that I'm not happy with ... any suggestions?
Hugs,
Lena
