Quick Christmas Card (QCC) 2 - Snowman

Yesterday, while in between appointments, I looked for a store, en route, where I could kill some time and the nearest was Big Lots. For me, it's always a hit or miss at Big Lots, more miss than hit actually, so you can imagine how excited I got when I found these cute snowmen. At first I wasn't sure what they were ... they just looked cute lying there on the shelf, and then I realized they are playing cards! Aren't they cute though?  I bought two packs at a dollar a piece. My first thought was cute stocking stuffer and then I got home and things changed ...

While making the 2nd card in my Quick Christmas Cards series, I decided to use one of the snowmen.  They are perfect - just the right thickness to stand on their own as an embellishment. So here is my card. I ran the white cardstock through one of my newest toys, the wavy crimper, then cut the trees using the cricut and the Christmas Noel cartridge, punched some snowflakes, stamped the sentiment and called it done.  Can't get much quicker than this :)

"What do I do with the inside of my cards?" is the question I get asked the most, so I normally try to put a pic of that too.  I've mentioned before that I try to keep it as simple as possible while still trying to maintain the theme, even if it is just by using the same colours that I used on the outside.  This is what I did for this one ... even a quick card needs to be dressed on the inside too, after all that is where your message is going to go :)

I hope you are all enjoying my Quick Card Series.  This idea was really born out of desperation as I have a little over 60 cards to make, most of them going overseas, which means that they have to be in the mail by the first of December to ensure they all get there on time.  I'm still busy with other Christmas projects too, and although fun to make, they are rather time consuming.  These I won't be able to post till after Christmas because my family check my blog and then it their surprise would be ruined.

Thanks for popping over and taking a peek. Your comments are always fun to read, so please do leave me some love.

Have a wonderful day,
Lena
