Merry Christmas from Texas Y'all

If you are regular follower of my blog, you know by now that I have most of my family overseas and so when I saw this stamp last year, I had to buy it.  This year another member of my family is getting this card. Not at all the traditional which I'm very fond of, but I think it still came out very cute and very Texan :)

The papers are from Paper Studio. The little piece of burlap is from a packet I got from Tim Holtz. The glitter buttons are from Walmart. Bob, the snowman, is a Hampton Art stamp.
Some of you have asked me about the size of my cards - they are almost all 6.5" x 5".  I normally buy the packs of 50 from Michaels when they have them on a special. I think that this is a good deal - I get the 50 cards plus matching envelopes for just under $4.00. They come in white and ivory and I normally buy one ivory for every two white packs.
This size suits me as it is not too small and not too big and just requires regular postage whether mailed locally or internationally.   For me, A2 cards are very limiting especially when I use cricut cartridge images.  The smaller the card, the smaller the cuts have to be and some of the more intricate ones become a real pain as the itty bitty pieces are hard to work with.
So Y'all, what do you think of this card?

Hugs,
Lena

  1. Oh my gosh, this is so cute! Everything goes so well together. I love the blue denim looking paper with the paisley. The little snowman looks great! Awesome job my friend!

  2. I love it! I love the combination of papers you used for the background, and your sentiment is wonderful. I have to start making computer generated sentiments for the inside of my cards:)Thanks for sharing.

    Peace, Love, & Cricut Hugs!

  3. I like this card. Is the burlap(?) almost the same as the piece of jute I sended you?
I cannot get the size of cards you use. I wish I could. They are all smaller or I have to cut them myself but than the envelopes are a problem too.
