Black & Fuchsia B'day Card

I made this card for a friend's birthday. She likes music so the black paper with the embossed music notes is very appropriate and I like the way it contrasts with the fuchsia cardstock. I love the larger embossing folders that Cuttlebug has come out with.  Since I always make my cards 6.5" x 5" these larger folders work great with my size cards.
I had the darnest time photographing this card and it really is one of those that looks better in real life than on any photo.  After a gazillion of useless pics I settled for this one. You can see that I added some "Ice" stickles to the centre of each shape on the embossed mat and "Dazzling Diamonds" from SU! to the centers of each rose.  I guess all the sparkle and shine makes it hard to photograph OR maybe I just need lessons :)

Have a wonderful day,
Lena

  4. It's so great to hear from you ladies. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and leave me some love :)

Marian - I used pencils and gamsol to colour my roses. Gamsol is odourless mineral spirits - don't know what the equivalent in Holland would be but maybe you can ask the ladies when you go to your next workshop.
    Hugs,
