Celebrations in March

The month of March is always one of my busiest times of the year. It is my son's birthday, my mom's birthday and mine. Then right at the end there is Easter. In our family we make a little do about Easter with the traditional egg hunt, Easter lunch with friends and a card, a chocolate and a little gift for everyone. This year, I'm very lucky to have my mom visiting at this time of the year. It is her 75th birthday! I have invited a few of my friends that she has gotten to know through the years of visiting us here in the US and have also become her friends.
My mom has always loved the ocean. She can spend hours, and sometimes does, walking on the beach just along the water edge. She is very fortunate that she is able to do that since she lives in one of the most touristic places along the Algarve in the southern part of Portugal. Keeping this in mind, I tried to do a little bit of an ocean theme. Here is a picture of the invitation card I made for her birthday. I will be posting the other items that I'm busy with within the next couple of days.
As soon as that is over, I will be planning and working on my son's birthday. He is going to be 14! It's hard to belive that it wasn't that long ago that he was just the sweetest toddler ever. How time does fly! Now he is a young man, but fortunately, still very sweet! So keep looking at this blog to see how I go along this very busy but very fun month of March!
