My New Crafting Corner

Well, it's been a while since I posted on this blog and for those of you who follow it, I'm truly sorry. We had tiling issues which resulted in our builder to have to re-tile the entire downstairs portion of our home. Those of you that have had this done before, you know how the fine white dust just gets everywhere and into every nook and cranny. So, you see this is what I've been busy with, cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. This is really nasty stuff - you can't just dust it off, because it smears, you have to wash it off with a damp cloth. While trying to get my house back to normal, I've also been fighting off a cold that has been with me for 2 weeks and is still lingering. On the upside though, my very sweet hubby, built a crafting corner for me. It was only going to be a little desk in the corner of our downstairs guest bedroom, lol, but it now takes up half of the room and it's all mine. :)
We haven't quite decided what to do about this bedroom ... on the one hand it is very convenient to have a guest bedroom downstairs, but on the other hand, it would make a great family hobby room. The other corner would be shared by my hubby, who loves to paint, and by my son, who loves to build model cars and planes.
So take a peek at my crafting corner and let me know what you think. In fact, if you have any suggestions as to how I can make it even more efficient, I would love to hear from you.
Here it is - my new crafting corner.
This is just for making cards, scrapbook layouts and paper crafting.
A quick run through, left side - top shelf: orders waiting to be delivered. Middle shelf: storage boxes for embossing folders, mat card stock, etc. Lower shelf: my cricut cartridges. Top of desk: 12" x 12" card stock trays, computer, carousel, 11" x 8.5" card stock trays, crafter's companion. Under the desk: CPU, box of scrap paper sorted by colour in hanging folders, drawer cabinet where I keep my stickers, patterned papers, etc., and hiding behind it is my yellow tool box.

On the right - top shelf: also used for orders waiting delivery and for storing my 12" x 24" mat and paper. Middle shelf: more storage boxes for my stamps, inks, etc. and crafting scissors.
In between is my embellishments center where I keep all my little flowers, stickles, ribbon, etc. Lower shelf: more storage boxes, my lil tv and my crafting fairy in a jar. On top of the desk is my cricut and jukebox, and my cuttlebug. Underneath is another drawer cabinet filled with all sorts of things that don't belong to a specific category. Next to the desk, in the other drawer cabinet is where I keep my decorative punches, my glass etching and my soap making supplies.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that in addition to what you see in these pictures, I have a 6' tall, double door cupboard where I keep all my supplies for my diaper cakes, wedding towel cakes and gift baskets and I also took over the closet in that bedroom. You honestly didn't think that I could keep everything in these little boxes, did you?

    1. Twaila, sorry it took me a while to reply. Had to ask hubby as I had no clue and he had been out of town. He secured the table tops to the wall :-), that is why he didn't need a leg. Smart hubby, because that leg would have annoyed me :-) I guess he knows me well. Good luck and let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
